She is the author of numerous textbooks and learning materials for midwives at Eagletree Press. She was the founder and director of the Oregon School of Midwifery, the first direct entry midwifery school in the US to offer online distance education. She
served on the board of directors of the Midwifery Education and Accreditation Council, was the Vice Chair of Oregon State Board of Direct Entry Midwifery, and was the chair of the Education Committee for the Midwives Alliance of North America.
Since her 2002 retirement from clinical practice and school administration, she has focused on writing, getting her degree in Web Design, and her goals of promoting distance education for midwives.
